What we found out:

Sign up for AWS

• Sign up for an AWS account at https://aws.amazon.com/. Make sure to create the account as a Professional account and use Swinburne University as the organization's name.

Sign up for Amazon Educate

• Sign up for an Amazon Educate account at https://www.awseducate.com.
  • On step 2, you must use your student email.
  • On step 3 of the sign up, ensure that you use the top option and input in your AWS account number (can be found on your profile after you login at https://aws.amazon.com/)
• You will have to wait up to 48 hours for Amazon to approve your account and you will receive this revification by email. The email will contain detailed information about how to access your benefits, including important login information.

Services available to students

• Amazon Educate grants are based upon whether our organization is a member institution of Amazon: $100 in AWS credits per student at member institutions; $40 in credits at non-member institutions.

• Note: Apply all of these credits to a single account as AWS does not allow transfers of credits between accounts.
