Roadmap
What is planned for Warracker, in one place. Shipped work is not listed here — see the changelog and the releases for what each version added.
- Mobile photo capture — take a photo of a product or receipt directly from the add and edit forms on a phone; large images are downscaled in the browser before upload. (PR #249)
- Product photo first — the photo upload opens the Add Warranty form, so a receipt photo can be read while filling in the details. (Issue #146)
- Other documents accept more file types — PDFs and images can now be attached, not just ZIP and RAR archives. (Issue #222)
- No new claims on voided warranties — claim creation is blocked once a warranty is voided, with the reason shown in the claims view; claims recorded before the void stay editable.
- Admin user management — the Users list shows how each account signs in (Local or OIDC), and an admin can edit a user's email address. (Issue #134)

Database credential defaults deprecated —
DB_USER,DB_PASSWORD,DB_ADMIN_USER, andDB_ADMIN_PASSWORDshould be set explicitly; the app warns at startup about any that are unset. The built-in defaults still work in 1.0.5 and will be removed in 1.0.6. (PR #221)

Open feature requests being weighed. Discussion and reactions on an issue are the clearest signal for what should come next:
- Export a warranty as PDF
- Backup / exporting everything
- Per-user Paperless-ngx accounts
- A quantity field for warranties
- Running under a subpath
New ideas start as a feature request. Search the existing issues first — someone may already have asked, and adding your case there carries more weight than a duplicate.
