Discord Integration
The TechyPad Discord plugin allows you to easily control your audio state in Discord without needing to tab out of your game.
To control Discord, TechyPad needs permission to communicate with your local Discord client.
- Open the TechyPad Desktop App and go to the Plugins tab.
- Locate the Discord Plugin and click Connect.
- Important: Open your Discord app. A prompt will appear asking if you want to authorize TechyPad to connect to your account. Click Authorize.
- The plugin status in the TechyPad app should now say Connected.
Currently, the Discord plugin supports the following actions:
- Toggle Mute: Mutes or unmutes your microphone.
- Toggle Deafen: Deafens or undeafens your incoming audio.
- Cut Call: Disconnects you from your current voice channel or call.
Note
Video Control Coming Soon! Currently, direct control over turning your webcam video on/off is not directly supported by Discord's local API in a way that allows us to integrate it. We are working on a workaround for this, and video control will be arriving in a future update!
If Discord isn't responding to your button presses:
- Make sure Discord is currently running.
- In the TechyPad app, go to the Plugins tab, disconnect the Discord plugin, and reconnect it to re-trigger the authorization prompt.
