Having issues with your TechyPad? Check the common solutions below.
- Check the cable: Ensure you are using a USB data cable, not just a charging cable. Some cables only provide power and cannot transmit data.
- Direct connection: Avoid using unpowered USB hubs. Plug the TechyPad directly into a USB port on your motherboard.
- Driver issue: In rare cases, Windows might not load the default HID drivers properly. Try unplugging the device, restarting your PC, and plugging it back in.
- Pairing: Make sure you have paired the TechyPad in your Windows Bluetooth settings before opening the TechyPad desktop app.
- Range: Ensure the TechyPad is within a few feet of your computer's Bluetooth antenna. Desktop PCs often require an external antenna to be screwed in for Bluetooth to work properly.
- If you downloaded a third-party plugin
.dll, ensure it was placed in the correctpluginsdirectory and your developer mode isONin the Settings tab. - Verify that the plugin was compiled for the same architecture (64-bit) as your TechyPad installation.
- If you are using a Bluetooth connection, interference can cause lag. Try switching to a USB connection to see if the latency improves.
- Check if a specific plugin (like OBS or Discord) has lost connection to its target software.
- Never unplug the TechyPad during a firmware update.
- If an update fails and the device becomes unresponsive, you may need to manually flash the firmware. See our Firmware Flashing guide for more details or contact our team on our Discord Server or Mail Us.
