This guide will help you get Asset Intelligence up and running quickly.
- Home Assistant installed and running
- Areas configured in Home Assistant
- Sensors available (temperature, humidity, etc.)
- Labels configured (optional but recommended)
Ensure your rooms already exist in Home Assistant:
Settings → Areas
Asset Intelligence uses these as the source of truth.
Navigate to Asset Intelligence → Add Asset
Provide:
- Name
- Area (room)
- Labels (optional)
Select a room and assign sensors:
- Temperature sensor
- Humidity sensor
- (Optional) other environmental sensors
Then define acceptable ranges.
Once configured:
- Assets are linked to rooms
- Rooms evaluate conditions
- System begins monitoring for out-of-range conditions
- A Home Assistant device is created for each asset
- Area and label assignments are written directly to HA
- No duplicate data is stored
You're now ready to build awareness into your home.
