Tags

Fogged reads these tags. Each one ships empty or with defaults and uses "replace": false, so any pack or mod can add to it.

Block tags

Tag Ships with What the murk does
#fogged:scoured empty (filled by Plant Scouring) Removes the block without drops. Same as the scouredBlocks config.
#fogged:scour_immune empty (filled by Mushroom Survival) Never removes the block. Beats scouredBlocks, #fogged:scoured and scourAllPlants. Doesn't stop transforms.
#fogged:doused fire, soul fire Puts out the block. It is removed with no drop.
#fogged:knocked_down the four torches Knocks down the block. It drops as if broken.
#fogged:snuffed_devices empty (filled by Device Snuffing) Unlights the block entity, zeroes its burn time and ejects its fuel. Same as the snuffedDevices config.
#fogged:floats empty With Sable: the block floats a ship at strength 1.

Lava isn't in a tag. What it freezes to depends on whether it's a source block, and a tag can't express that.

Item tags

Tag Ships with Use
#fogged:filter_media #minecraft:wool Items that turn a Create nozzle into a nozzle filter (right-click). The filter remembers the dye colour from an id ending in _wool. Other items give a white filter.

Entity type tags

Tag Ships with Use
#fogged:breathes_murk empty Mobs that can spawn and live under the fog. Same as allowedMobs.

Examples

Spare all lanterns, add a modded plant to the scour:

data/fogged/tags/block/scour_immune.json

{
  "replace": false,
  "values": ["minecraft:lantern", "minecraft:soul_lantern"]
}

data/fogged/tags/block/scoured.json

{
  "replace": false,
  "values": [
    { "id": "somemod:glow_vine", "required": false }
  ]
}

Use { "id": ..., "required": false } for anything from another mod. Without it, the whole tag fails to load when that mod is missing.

Let fish and axolotls live under the fog:

data/fogged/tags/entity_type/breathes_murk.json

{
  "replace": false,
  "values": ["#minecraft:aquatic", "minecraft:axolotl"]
}

Douse a modded flame:

data/fogged/tags/block/doused.json

{
  "replace": false,
  "values": [{ "id": "somemod:blue_fire", "required": false }]
}

Removing defaults

"replace": false adds entries. To remove the mod's own defaults:

  • For entries that come from a built-in pack (Plant Scouring, Device Snuffing, Mushroom Survival), disable that pack. See Datapack Built-in Packs.
  • To spare one block from the scour, add it to #fogged:scour_immune. That's easier than rewriting #fogged:scoured.
  • As a last resort, override the tag with "replace": true. This also removes entries other mods added, so avoid it in packs you share.
