Fogged keeps its settings in two files:
| File | Side | Holds |
|---|---|---|
config/fogged-common.toml |
Server (shared with clients) | Gameplay: the boundary, suffocation, world changes, worldgen, compat |
config/fogged-client.toml |
Each player's own | Looks: the plane, foam, vapour, motes, debug views |
The split is deliberate. A server decides the gameplay, and each player decides how the murk looks. A server can never change someone's visuals.
- In game: from the Mods screen, use NeoForge's own config screen, Configured, or YACL if you have it installed. Every option is a plain number, toggle, enum or list of strings, so all of these screens show a proper widget for it. Colours show a colour picker.
-
By hand: edit the
.tomlfile. Most options apply right away. Two kinds don't:-
[datapacks]switches only apply after/reloador reopening the world. -
[pillars]options only affect chunks generated afterwards.
-
Many lists accept the same entry forms:
-
minecraft:stoneis a block, item or entity id. You can leave off theminecraft:namespace (stone). -
#minecraft:logsis a tag. -
create:*_casingis a glob.*matches any run of characters in an id.
