The sys/proc/cpu directory

The directory _sys/proc/cpu exists as a sub-directory to the file system root.

The directory contains cpu usage information.

The files in the sys/proc/cpu directory are listed in the table below:

File Description
cpu.txt CPU usage, sorted by PID.
cpu-time.txt CPU usage, sorted by total active time.
cpu-usage.txt CPU usage, sorted by current activity, only shown in live memory analysis.
readme.txt README file.

Files in the sys/proc/cpu directory are read-only.

File: cpu.txt

The file cpu.txt contains a per-pid view of the process activity.

Example

The example shows the sys/proc/cpu directory on a live target. The WSL window command is watch -n 10 'head cpu-usage.txt' to refresh the cpu usage every 10s.

For Developers

The sys/proc/cpu sub-directory is implemented as a built-in native C-code plugin. The plugin source is located in the file modules/m_sys_proccpu.c in the vmm project.
