Release list
v0.10.2
- Automatically follow Codex native titles and renames through metadata-only reads, without starting or resuming turns.
- Synchronize Claude custom titles on startup and prompts. Claude
/renameupdates after the next prompt; generated titles use the fallback. - Provide readable project/node/host/session fallback names, persistent Interlink overrides, and a last-known native-title cache. Empty
set_session_titlerestores automatic naming. - Honor explicit Claude session IDs in title hooks, including
INTERLINK_SESSIONand--session.
Upgrade with cargo install interlink-mcp --version 0.10.2 --locked, or update the Claude plugin/npm installation. Restart the host or MCP connection to load the new binary and hooks. Custom CODEX_HOME must be supplied in the MCP environment too.
Validation: 111 Rust tests, formatting, Clippy, no-C checks, installed Codex/Claude host fixtures, and subagent review with its finding fixed. The separate Codex first-prompt registration timing issue remains.
v0.10.1
- Optional session titles for Claude and Codex via
set_session_title,--title, orINTERLINK_TITLE. Session IDs and routing remain unchanged, with compatibility for older clients and brokers. - Broker discovery now reports connection and response errors and warns when results are incomplete.
- Clearer inbox notices require fetching and acknowledgement, and reporting unavailable tools. Notification retry behavior is unchanged.
Upgrade with cargo install interlink-mcp --version 0.10.1 --locked, or update the Claude plugin/npm installation. Restart the host or MCP connection after upgrading to reload tools and instructions. Session titles are separate from native conversation titles.
Validation: 105 tests, formatting, Clippy, dependency checks, installed Claude/Codex host fixtures, and compatibility with the v0.10.0 broker/client.
Interlink v0.10.0
Added
- Expiring notification reservations with capped retry backoff, recovery without
notice IDs, and bounded diagnostics for repeated host-notification failures. - Shared persistent inbound mailbox, read-only
receive_messages, and explicit
acknowledge_messagesconsumption for Claude
Stop hooks, Claude channels, and Codex queues. - Explicit
conversation_history(consume=true)acknowledgement, scoped to the
messages returned, with restart-safe deduplication and read-only inspection.
Changed
- Host queues carry a coalesced inbox notice instead of each peer message body.
Stale notices fetch no consumed bodies. Task progress stays quiet; newer progress
and terminal results supersede old updates without suppressing questions or failures. - Delivery states distinguish relay acceptance, local storage, host handoff, and
receiver tool acknowledgement. Sender-side receiver status remains unknown. - Inbound mailbox state is bounded at 4,096 records / 32 MiB per identity/session.
Unread messages are preserved; eligible consumed history expires on new arrivals
after the signature acceptance window. Existing legacy inbox entries still work.
Install with cargo install interlink-mcp --version 0.10.0 --locked, npm, or a release archive. Update the Claude plugin and restart active hosts to load the new MCP tools and instructions. Existing identities, peer policy, and broker data are preserved.
v0.9.0: Codex CLI support and delivery recovery
Interlink 0.9.0 adds Codex CLI support and improves recovery for both Codex and Claude Code.
- Codex root CLI sessions bind through trusted lifecycle hooks and receive peer messages through the local daemon queue. Claude and Codex can share identities and exchange messages.
- Shared peer-policy updates are atomic. Pairing requests and confirmations survive restarts, preserve correlation across retries, and refresh unsent signatures after long outages.
- Claude inboxes preserve unread messages across restarts, and idle listeners renew. Codex delivery retries are bounded, with durable failures recoverable through
failed_deliveries. - Setup, deployment, task, and recovery documentation now describes current behavior and limits.
Install the complete toolset:
cargo install interlink-mcp --version 0.9.0 --lockedRelease archives below contain all four binaries. The npm package provides the MCP server; the Claude plugin invokes it with npx. Update the plugin and restart existing Claude sessions when upgrading.
Codex setup · Claude setup · Changelog
Validation: 85 tests, formatting, Clippy, dependency checks, and local host fixtures on Codex 0.160.0 and Claude Code 2.1.278. Host fixtures use local responses, not production models. Ordinary message history and outbox remain in memory; delivery is not exactly-once. Codex desktop, remote app-server, ephemeral-thread delivery, and subagents are not supported by this adapter.
