ducky has not had much time for dev work in the last ~6 weeks, and mostly quiet otherwise, so not much to report here
For 2022 we have a budget of $2500. See: OSGeo_Budget_2022
We need to take a vote on the spending for 2022, and also propose a new budget for 2023. OSGeo default would be $500 for a project if no specific other budget is submitted. Usually budgets are requested / submitted in late November or early December.
- Discussion of 2023 Budget:
- ducky notes that we never were able to match for a designer in 2022, so we will push that option forward into 2023 as a goal
- general breakout for OSGeo funds for 2023 might be 1,500 project expenses, 500 doc writing, and 500 group work session/code sprint/conference
- We also have some funds over at SharedGeo, and these would be the funds we might use for a designer
- 2023 Budget Proposal & vote
- Tanya proposed adopting the same budget as 2022, $2,500.
- Adopted with PSC support by Dan, Tanya, Jim, Brent, and Eli
- Eli proposed the following expenditures for 2022 OSGeo budgeted funds:
- $1,000 to Jim for sys admin work, reviews, and pipeline work,
- $500 to Jeff for packaging,
- $500 to Brent for documentation (and service testing), and
- $500 to Dan for documentation
- Motion passed with support by Tanya, Dan, Jim, Brent and Eli. (People abstained on votes pertaining to themselves)
