At the December meeting we proposed and agreed (4 PSC members with +1) the following budget for 2024:
- $1,000 for sys admin work, reviews, and pipeline work
- $500 for packaging
- $1,000 for documentation (and service testing)
- $1,500 for a Code Sprint
We need to follow up and send this information to the OSGeo board, who will be having a budget meeting later this month. The OSGeo proposed budget is here: OSGeo 2024 Budget wiki It may be sufficient to edit the wiki page and then follow up with an email to the Treasurer?

There is still a SharedGeo fund earmarked for the GeoMoose project available in the amount of $3,126.87. In an effort to clean up their corporate books SharedGeo would like to formally pass the funds on to the GeoMoose project. It is getting to the point of use it or lose it. The funds can be sent to OSGeo directly. SharedGeo just needs a plan for it’s eventual draw down by the project.
Action Item: Let's come up with what we want to tell SharedGeo.
OSGeo has set up discourse.osgeo.org, which is now available for any groups wishing to make use of it. Discourse is a forum option, that has been used with good results in the OpenStreetMap community, and has been requested by some as an option from OSGeo for a while as part of lowering the barrier of entry for a new generation.
Discourse has some ability to function in a mailing list mode, for those who prefer to continue mailing list behavior, and posts will appear in the forum, however it's not clear that forum posts will propagate back to the mailing list (may be user opt in only).
If we want to move our mailing list currently hosted on OSGeo Mailman to OSGeo Discourse, we need to put in a trac ticket – OSGeo TRAC
