**This page describes a component of XMMS2.**
Summary
=======
The Summary section will be used as a basis for package descriptions, so please make sure that the text is suited for that. The contents of this page will be gathered automatically by a script. It is important that the Summary section is kept.
Adds support for reading standard MIDI files with a .mid extension.
Reads type-0 (single track) and type-1 (multiple track) standard MIDI files. Also supports Microsoft RMIDI (.rmi) files. This component also reads song titles from MIDI events.
This component outputs raw MIDI data and relies on another component like fluidsynth to perform the actual musical synthesis.
