Overview

This page is committed to the specific implementation of the imagej-elphel plug-in and the related installation of Fiji/ImageJ software.

ImageJ installation

The installation starts by getting the software implementation package :

$ cd /some/install/path/
$ wget http://fiji.sc/downloads/Life-Line/\
       fiji-linux64-20140602.tar.gz

Simply unpack the downloaded package as follows :

$ tar -vxf fiji-linux64-20140602.tar.gz

To finish the installation, it is a good practice to run the software once in order to complete its implementation (mostly regarding java environment). The last steps simply consists in creating a soft link as follows :

# ln -s /some/install/path/Fiji.app/ImageJ-linux64 /usr/bin/ImageJ-linux64

in order to add Fiji/ImageJ to a standard search path.

ImageJ-Elphel installation

As soon as Fiji/ImageJ is installed as previously described, the ImageJ-Elphel plug-in is installed as follows. First get the plugin source files :

$ cd /some/install/path/Fiji.app/plugins
$ git clone https://github.com/FoxelSA/imagej-elphel.git Elphel-git
$ mv Elphel-git/src/main/java/ ./Elphel
$ rm -rf ./Elphel-git/

The plug-in is simply built using the following command :

$ ../ImageJ-linux64 --headless \
                    --compile-and-run Elphel/Eyesis_Correction.java

without taking into account the error on missing XML configuration file.
