srm raw eqrtile_v0.4

Nils Hamel edited this page Oct 16, 2015 · 1 revision

Overview

This refinement module is responsible of converting raw data into equirectangular mapped tile images typically toward the creation of whole panoramas creation in the same projection. The equirectangular tiles are also used to produce rectilinear tiles for 3D-reconstruction taking advantage of the optical and chromatic correction performed by this module refinement process.

Presentation

In addition to the standard interface arguments and parameters, this module expects the following execution mode arguments and parameters :

-m [parameter]

The parameter of this argument simply specifies the method used
to compute the equirectangular tiles. If 'elphel-plugin' is
specified the module considers the ImageJ-Elphel plugin for the
computation of the tiles.

As described in the standard interface documentation, this module expects a parameter to the '-n' argument to determine the parentage of the data.

Demonstration

The following command illustrates the module script call on a set of camera poses all contained in a single MMSR range :

srm-raw-eqrtile --mount-point /path/to/storage\
                --address 00-0e-64-08-1b-6e/1400683811/1400683814/\
                1400683880_023612-1400684950_023612\
                -n b7e875c4e210e73f -m elphel-plugin\
                --thread 2 --local-thread 4

On this example, the refinement process handled by this module is executed on two instances of the module kernel script each allowing four threads for the sub-process they have to handle.
