Explanation

By enabling this setting, when you click on the Again, Why Salesforce icon in your browser, the Salesforce Setup page for your Org will be AUTOMATICALLY opened and the popup will be dismissed.

This will happen ONLY if:

  1. You ARE on a Salesforce page when clicking the icon.
  2. You are NOT on a Salesforce Setup page when clicking the icon.

This setting is closely related to the one which enables to open the Salesforce Setup page in the same browser tab.

Technicalities

Implementation

When clicking on the popup, the extension checks which page is currently opened. If the page is a Salesforce Lightning page but not a Salesforce Setup page, a page with a single button pointing to your Org's Setup page is shown. If the page is not a Salesforce page, the popup points to the Salesforce Login page instead.

This setting lets the user move quickly to the Setup page without requiring them to manually click on the shown button.
