Compatibility

WandererZ (with Jobs, RPG Difficulty, Tiered, Party, and Food Spoilage integrated) interoperates with several other mods. Most of these are optional — they just unlock extra behavior when present. Note: RPG Difficulty's WandererZ-based mob scaling is now built-in and always active (see RPG Difficulty), not conditional on a separate install anymore.

Required dependencies

Mod What it's used for
AutoTag Provides the item tags (c:pickaxes, c:armor, etc.) that Tiered's tier modifiers key off of — required, install separately
Fabric Seasons Drives the season/calendar clock that Food Spoilage's spoilage timing is based on — one of Fabric Seasons/Serene Seasons is required, install separately

Optional gameplay-integration mods

Mod What it unlocks
TreeChop Lumberjack job XP is granted per tree felled via TreeChop's bulk-chop, scaled by number of chops
Farmer's Delight Farmer/cooking related compat mixins (e.g. cooking pot results)
FallingTree Lumberjack-related block-wrapper compat mixin
Harvest Scythes Scythe item compat mixin for Farmer job XP
Numismatic Overhaul Job level-ups can grant in-game currency (moneyMultiplicator config)
NamePlate RPG Difficulty reads a mob's displayed RPG level to scale bonus loot chance
PlayerEx RPG Difficulty uses PlayerEx attribute levels instead of WandererZ levels for mob scaling, including boss/Ender Dragon-specific scaling
EasyAnvils Tiered's reforge compat with EasyAnvils' custom anvil screen
TooltipFix Tiered tooltip-rendering compat
Clumps Party's shared-XP system correctly handles clumped XP orbs instead of treating them as a single large orb
Xaero's World Map Party group members' positions can show up as markers on your map
Expanded Delight Food Spoilage compat mixins for Expanded Delight's food/block entities
Vinery Food Spoilage compat mixins for Vinery's cutting board, juicer, and apple press block entities

These are all optional compile-time dependencies; the mixins that use them are conditionally applied only if the target mod is actually loaded (see Developer Architecture for how).

Food Spoilage datapack compatibility (no install required)

WandererZ ships optional datapack tag entries (not hard dependencies — safe if the mod isn't installed) so food from the following mods spoils correctly out of the box:

Mod Compatibility
Farmer's Delight Refabricated Raw/cooked dishes spoil; Smoked Ham is exempt
HerbalBrews Fresh herbs/brewed tea & coffee spoil; dried teas are exempt
Vinery Fresh grapes/cherries/juices spoil; fermented wines, ciders, and mead are exempt
Meadow Fresh cheeses, milk, and buffalo meat spoil
FarmAndCharm Fresh produce/dishes spoil; flour, yeast, barley, and oat are exempt
Bakery Fresh baked goods spoil; jams are exempt
Candlelight Fine-dining dishes spoil
Brewery Snacks/dishes and raw hops spoil; beers, whiskeys, and dark brew are exempt

See Developer: Datapack Creation for the tag format and how to customize this list yourself.

Bundled dependency

Mod What it's used for
Capsaicin Food-eaten/food-properties-modification event hooks Food Spoilage is built on — bundled directly in the jar, no separate install needed

Built-in resource pack compatibility

WandererZ auto-registers built-in resource packs (visual/tag compatibility layers) when the following mods are detected, so their blocks/items work correctly with job restrictions out of the box:

  • Bakery
  • BetterEnd
  • BetterNether
  • Candlelight
  • EarlyStage
  • Snuffles
  • Supplementaries
  • Vinery

These packs are enabled by default and require no manual setup.

UI/API integrations

  • Mod Menu — single combined config entry (see Configuration)
  • REI / EMI — recipe viewer plugins for WandererZ's custom items
  • Jade (WAILA) — shows level-related info when looking at relevant blocks
  • libz — shared tab-registry library used to add the WandererZ and Jobs inventory tabs
