Permissions

ReinChat uses permissions to control access to administrative commands and chat features.

You can assign these permissions to players or groups through your server's permission management plugin.

Note: This page lists permissions explicitly declared in plugin.yml. Some features use permissions configured in their respective configuration files, so those permissions are not all listed here. Refer to the relevant configuration files for additional permission requirements.

Administrative Permissions

Permission Default Description
reinchat.admin Operators Grants access to the ReinChat administrative permission group and most of the existing permissions.
reinchat.view Operators Allows viewing inventory and ender-chest snapshots.
reinchat.show.bypasscooldown Operators Bypasses the chat display cooldown.
reinchat.socialspy Operators Allows viewing private messages through SocialSpy.
reinchat.broadcast Operators Allows manual server-wide broadcasts.
reinchat.nick Operators Allows setting your own nickname.
reinchat.nick.others Operators Allows changing or resetting another player's nickname.
reinchat.sudo Operators Allows forcing a player to execute a command or send a chat message.
reinchat.admin.help Operators Allows viewing the ReinChat administration command list.

Chat & Display Permissions

Permission Default Description
reinchat.show.item Everyone Allows using item display in chat.
reinchat.show.inventory Everyone Allows using inventory display in chat.
reinchat.show.enderchest Everyone Allows using ender-chest display in chat.
reinchat.afk Everyone Allows using /afk and receiving automatic AFK status tracking.

Understanding Defaults

  • Operators (op) — Granted by default to server operators.
  • Everyone (true) — Granted by default to all players.

The reinchat.admin permission includes the child permissions listed under it in plugin.yml. These children are configured to inherit from reinchat.admin.

Notes

  • Permission defaults are defined in plugin.yml.
  • Some permissions grant access to multiple related features through parent-child relationships.
  • Additional permission requirements may be defined in individual feature configurations.
  • If a feature does not work as expected, check both its configuration and the permissions assigned to the player.
