Demo Version

Please read this page carefully, before doing further Steps with the Demo version!

The Dialog Backend now has a Demo Version, available for free here: Demo Archives

The Demo features the whole base of the Dialog Backend, but is limited in some cases.

Limitations

• The Demo does not contain the Jumper-, Switch-, Beacon- and Continue-Node. All other Nodes of the Graph are available and fully functional. • The Demo does not contain the Auto-Localization-link and de-link System. • The Demo will stay at this version and won't get any Features On-Top. • The Material based Decorators are not included in the Demo.

Why a Demo?

The Demo should be used to test, if the Workflow fits your needs, before buying the Full Release Version on Fab.com, Itch.io or Gumroad.com.

It is recommended to test the Demo out, before buying.

FaQ of the Demo

Is there a limit in the size of a Dialog I can create?

No, there is no Limit. Besides the Nodes, Decorators and Systems not included, the Plugin works fully.

Are the global Values included?

Yes. The whole global Value System is included (except the Beacon Node), so you can test the System.

Am I allowed to release my game using the Demo only?

Of course! But, please be aware of the Disclaimer below.

Will the Demo get any additional features in the Future?

No! Even if the Plugin gets more features, the Demo will stay as it is now. But it will be released for each major Engine Version.

How to Install?

Download the Demo of the Engine Version you prefer. Extract the Content to your Project's Plugin Folder. Example: YourProjectRoot/Plugins/<here>

If your Project is a Source build, you now want to Regenerate the Project files, by right-clicking the *.uproject file in the root directory of your project and select Generate Visual Studio Project Files. After that, open the generated Solution ( *.sln) and build your project.

The launcher version of the Engine should work right after extracting and opening the project.

You may need to enable the Plugin in the Plugins Manager of your Project, if not enabled automatically.

If buying the Full-Release

Make sure to delete the Demo Folder off your Project's Plugins Folder, before you start your project Editor after installing the Full-Release version, to prevent Errors on Startup and fatal crashes, caused by duplicate classes, declarations and definitions.
