🏎️ Welcome to the vWheel Hub Wiki

🌐 Language / Язык: English | Русский

Welcome to the official documentation for vWheel Hub — a high-performance Windows desktop application built with .NET 10 and WPF that turns your standard Mouse and Keyboard into a precise, responsive, and competitive virtual steering wheel for PC Sim Racing.

Whether you race in Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC), Assetto Corsa EVO (AC EVO), Le Mans Ultimate (LMU), rFactor 2, BeamNG.drive, iRacing, Assetto Corsa, or Rally titles (EA Sports WRC, Dirt Rally 2.0, Richard Burns Rally), vWheel Hub provides ultra-low latency mouse steering (at polling rates up to 1000 Hz), Schema V2 delta-time ($dt$) progressive pedal physics, a 3-tier profile hierarchy (GameClassCar), and intelligent real-time telemetry helpers powered by self-learning grip algorithms.

🎯 What is vWheel Hub & How Does It Work?

Sim racing titles typically expect physical steering wheel hardware (such as Logitech, Thrustmaster, Fanatec, or Direct Drive bases) connected via USB.

vWheel Hub bridges the gap by utilizing the open-source vJoy virtual joystick driver:

  1. Mouse Steering: When you move your mouse horizontally, vWheel Hub captures high-resolution movement data via the Windows RawInput API (WM_INPUT on a dedicated message-only window thread) and translates it into a silky-smooth virtual steering axis angle with configurable non-linear gamma curves and dynamic steering lock clamping.
  2. Keyboard Pedals: Pressing throttle and brake keys on your keyboard simulates realistic mechanical pedals using Schema V2 $dt$-based physics (Fast Attack, Slow Attack, Decay, Instant Cut, Gamma, and dual-key Turbo attack) — ensuring identical pedal speed regardless of your configured polling rate.
  3. Telemetry & Assists: In supported simulators, vWheel Hub reads live vehicle telemetry (tire slip, angular wheel speeds, vehicle velocity, and track conditions) to provide intelligent assists: Adaptive Grid Cache Telemetry ABS, Smart Traction Control (TC), Synthetic Trail Braking, Auditory Slip Cues, Speed-Sensitive Steering, and In-Menu Control Suspension / Cursor Auto-Unlocking.
