Telemetry Helpers
🌐 Language / Язык: English | Русский
In modern sim racing titles, telemetry provides a high-speed data stream representing individual tire rotational speeds, vehicle velocity, and track conditions in real time.
vWheel Hub Pro leverages live simulator telemetry to drive intelligent driver assist features: Reactive Telemetry ABS, Smart Traction Control (TC), Adaptive Grip Learning, Speed-Sensitive Steering, and In-Menu Control Suspension / Cursor Management.
When braking on mouse and keyboard without physical pedal force-feedback, it is easy to inadvertently lock up the front or rear tires, causing flat spots, understeer, and loss of directional control.
The ABS Helper monitors the rotational speeds of all 4 tires in real time. As soon as the system detects imminent tire lockup, it smoothly and rapidly modulates brake pressure to regain grip, simulating a real motorsport ABS system.
| Parameter | Default | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Enable ABS Helper | false |
Toggles telemetry ABS intervention. (Mutually exclusive with Synthetic Trail Braking). |
| ABS Slip Threshold |
0.10 (ACC/ACE: 0.14, LMU: 0.05) |
The wheel slip percentage where ABS intervention triggers. |
| ABS Drop Amount |
0.10 (10%) |
Maximum percentage the brake pressure is allowed to drop during intervention (DropAmount) to prevent losing braking power. |
| ABS Cut Rate | 25.0 |
Speed of brake pressure drop when lockup is detected (CutRate). |
| ABS Recover Rate |
2.0 – 3.0
|
Speed at which brake pressure smoothly ramps back up once tires regain grip (RecoverRate). |
| ABS Min Speed | 10.0 km/h |
Vehicle speed floor below which ABS is disabled, allowing full holding brake at a standstill or pit box. |
The TC Helper continuously monitors driven wheel slip when applying throttle. When accelerating hard on corner exits, over curbs, or in wet weather, the TC Helper smoothly reduces throttle output to prevent oversteer and maintain maximum forward acceleration.
| Parameter | Default | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Enable TC Helper | false |
Toggles telemetry traction control modulation. |
| TC Slip Threshold |
0.05 (5%) |
Tolerated wheelspin percentage before throttle modulation begins. |
| TC Drop Amount |
0.15 (15%) |
Maximum throttle reduction floor (DropAmount) to prevent engine cutouts. |
| TC Cut Rate |
20.0 (ACC/ACE: 15.0) |
Speed of throttle cut upon detecting excessive wheelspin (CutRate). |
| TC Recover Rate |
3.0 – 5.0
|
Speed of throttle recovery once traction is re-established (RecoverRate). |
| TC Min Speed | 5.0 km/h |
Speed floor below which launch wheelspin is permitted for standing starts. |
vWheel Hub features an adaptive grip learning engine that continuously analyzes your car's behavior on track and dynamically adapts to the true traction limits of each car across different speeds and steering angles.
- Per-Car Profiles: Learned grip data is stored independently for each vehicle model and class.
- Dry & Wet Weather Segregation: The app automatically separates dry and wet track grip learning.
- Seamless Background Operation: All updates are processed smoothly in the background without causing stutters during driving.
On the Telemetry Helpers tab in vWheel Hub, three quick management tools are available:
- Reset Car: Resets learned grip data for the currently active car model.
- Reset All: Clears all saved adaptive grip data across all games and cars.
- Open Cache Folder: Opens the local cache directory in Windows File Explorer.
At high straightaway speeds, tiny mouse twitches can make the car twitchy and unstable. Conversely, in slow hairpins, you require full steering agility.
Speed-Sensitive Steering dynamically dampens mouse steering sensitivity at higher speeds, keeping the car composed on fast straights while maintaining responsiveness in slow corners.
-
Speed Sens Min Speed (default
30.0 km/h): Speed where sensitivity reduction begins. -
Speed Sens Max Speed (default
200.0 km/h): Speed where maximum stability damping is reached. -
Speed Sens Min Multiplier (default
0.50): Sensitivity floor applied at high speed (e.g.0.50= 50% of baseline sensitivity).
- In-Menu Control Suspension: Automatically neutralizes throttle, brake, and gear shifting while inside pit menus, garage, or pause screens to prevent accidental inputs.
- Auto-Unlock Mouse Cursor in Menu: Instantly frees the cursor in menus and automatically re-locks it when returning to track.
