Ctrl+S	Quick Save	Save current buffer instantly

Ctrl+N	New Script	Create a fresh empty buffer

Ctrl+Z	Undo	Revert the last change
Ctrl+Shift+Z	Redo	Re-apply the last undone change
Ctrl+A	Select all	Highlight the entire document
Shift+Arrow	Extend selection	Highlight text character-by-character or line-by-line
Shift+Home	Select to start	Highlight from cursor to start of line
Shift+End	Select to end	Highlight from cursor to end of line
Ctrl+C	Copy	Copy selection (or entire line if nothing is selected)
Ctrl+X	Cut	Cut selection (or entire line if nothing is selected)
Ctrl+V	Paste	Paste from system clipboard

Navigation & Movement

Arrow Keys	Move cursor	Navigate character-by-character, line-by-line
Home / End	Line edges	Jump cursor to start or end of the current line
Ctrl+Left / Right	Jump by word	Move cursor word-by-word
PgUp / PgDn	Scroll page	Move the view by one full screen height
Ctrl+PageDown	Next buffer	Switch to the next open script
Ctrl+PageUp	Previous buffer	Switch to the previous open script

Deletion

Shortcut	Action	Description
Backspace	Delete back	Remove the character before the cursor
Delete	Delete forward	Remove the character after the cursor
Ctrl+Backspace	Delete word back	Remove the entire word before the cursor
Ctrl+Delete	Delete word forward	Remove the entire word after the cursor

Search & Replace

Shortcut	Action	Description
Alt+Up	Previous match	Jump to the previous search result
Alt+Down	Next match	Jump to the next search result
r	Replace	(Search active) Replace the current match
R (Shift+R)	Replace All	(Search active) Replace every match in the script

Note: r and R only activate when search highlights are visible. Any other key dismisses the search highlights and returns to normal editing.

Settings Pane (Ctrl+P)

Shortcuts Help (F1)

The help screen uses a tabbed category layout with color-coded key pills.

X-Ray Mode (/xray)

1 / 2 / 3 / 4	Switch between Pacing, Character, Scene, and Breakdown tabs
Left / Right	Switch tabs
Up / Down	Scroll data (Tabs 1-3) or Select scene (Tab 4)
PgUp / PgDn	Scroll by 10 rows
/prodtags	Toggle production tags visibility
Esc / q	Close X-Ray

Index Cards (/ic)

Shortcut	Action
Arrow Keys	Navigate between cards (grid)
Shift+Left/Right	Swap/reorder cards horizontally
Enter	Open the spacious Card Details & Outline Editor Modal
n	Add a new card after the current one
Shift+N	Add a new Section after the current one
Delete / Backspace	Remove the current card
Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z	Undo / Redo changes
/	Open the command palette
Esc / q	Return to the editor at the selected scene

Inside Card Modal

Up / Down	Navigate between Heading and Synopsis fields
Enter	Toggle editing / saving the selected field
s	Add a new Synopsis field directly below selection
d	Delete the selected Synopsis field
Esc	Cancel editing or Close the modal

Snapshots (/snap)

Shortcut	Action
Up / Down	Navigate snapshots
Enter / r	Restore the selected snapshot
o	Open the snapshot in a new buffer
Esc	Close the snapshots panel

Sprint Stats (/sprintstat)

Up / Down	Navigate sprint records
e	Export sprint history to CSV
Esc / q	Close the stats panel

File Picker (Save / Export)

Shortcut	Action
Up / Down	Navigate through files and folders
Enter	(Free Mode) Open folder or pick file name
Tab	Lock Folder — Clears input and enters Naming Mode
Enter	(Locked Mode) Save file with current name to locked folder
Backspace	(Free Mode) Go up one directory
Esc	Close the picker and return to editor

Overwrite Confirmation

Shortcut	Action
Left / Right	Switch between YES and NO
Enter	Confirm selection
y / n	Quick confirm (Yes / No)
