Quick Start
This page takes a new player from installation to the first saved location.
- Download
Andys-Explorers-Notebook-v1.0.0.mcaddonfrom the official GitHub release or CurseForge listing. - Open the file with Minecraft Bedrock.
- Wait for the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack to import successfully.
- Create a world or edit an existing world.
- Open Behavior Packs → My Packs.
- Activate Andy's Explorer's Notebook BP.
- Confirm that Andy's Explorer's Notebook RP is also active.
- Enter the world.
Minecraft Bedrock 26.40 or newer is required. No experiments or cheats are required.
At a Crafting Table, combine these items in any arrangement:
- 1 Book & Quill
- 1 Compass
- 1 Lodestone
The recipe unlocks when the player obtains a Compass.
Build a vertical column in this order:
- Bottom: Stone Bricks
- Middle: Lodestone
- Top: Chiseled Stone Bricks
- Attach a normal wall sign to any one of the four side faces of the top Chiseled Stone Bricks.
The sign cannot stand on top and cannot be a Hanging Sign.
When the structure becomes valid, a green message confirms that the Survey Marker is verified and active. A randomized vanilla Amethyst Bud break sound also plays when sound feedback is enabled.
- Hold the Explorer's Notebook.
- Interact directly with the marker's middle Lodestone.
- Enter a site name.
- Choose a category.
- Add a field note.
- Set Waystone Present if the optional field is enabled.
- Select Record Site.
The Notebook saves the marker coordinates, dimension, Minecraft day, chosen details, and Verified status.
Use the Notebook in the air. Turn spreads with the folded-corner arrows. Select the small gear for personal settings.
The saved record belongs to the player and remains in the world even if the physical Notebook is destroyed.
