Updating the controller

This page covers how to flash the controller with the latest firmware. There is nothing here you can really break so if something goes wrong remain calm :)

1. From the releases page, find the latest release. Under assets click on AR2M_vX.X.X.uf2
   Or if you want to try new but possibly unstable features, find the latest pre-release. Only use a pre-release if it is more recent than the latest stable release
2. Whilst holding the BOOT button on the controller plug the device into your computer, OR whilst the controller is still on, hold the BOOT button then press RESET. This puts the controller into BOOT/DFU mode where firmware can be uploaded.
3. On Windows, File Explorer should automatically pop up a Window with the device RPI-RP2. On MacOS it should appear in the same name in Finder (I don't own a Mac so not to sure)
4. Drag the AR2M_vX.X.X.U2F file into the RPI-RP2 drive. The controller should then reboot and the new firmware should now be used by the controller.
