Installation
Farbound is distributed as a Modrinth modpack (.mrpack) for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge.
- Download and install the Modrinth App.
- Search for Farbound and click Install.
- Launch the pack from the app.
Other launchers that support .mrpack files (Prism Launcher, ATLauncher, etc.) work as well: download the .mrpack from the Farbound project page and import it.

Extended render distances are memory intensive. You can adjust allocated RAM in your launcher's instance settings. See Performance and Settings for details on Distant Horizons.
The very first launch takes noticeably longer than usual (mod setup, asset and shader compilation). This is normal. Subsequent launches are much faster.
The pack includes an update checker that warns you when your version is outdated. Update through your launcher; do not mix files from different pack versions manually.
Farbound works on servers. Client and server must run the same pack version. Team progress in the quest book is shared via FTB Teams.
