Clients
The Clients page lists everyone who is connected to the selected virtual server right now, and is where admins poke, kick, ban, move and describe them. Everyone with access to the server can look at the list; the actions need the admin role — see Users and Roles.
For people who are not connected at the moment — or never were again — see the Client Database.
- Who is listed: the clients that are connected as ordinary TeamSpeak clients. That includes other bots and this app's own music bots, because to the server they are clients like anyone else. ServerQuery connections (this app's own among them) are left out; the Channels page shows those, with a Query badge.
- Columns: nickname, country (as TeamSpeak reports it), how long the client has been idle, and a status — Away, Muted (microphone muted) or Active.
- The header counts the clients online, and the search field narrows the list by nickname.
- The list refreshes itself every 10 seconds. There is nothing to reload.
For admins, the ⋯ menu at the end of a row offers three things:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Poke | Opens a small dialog for a message and sends it to that client as a poke — the pop-up window TeamSpeak shows. An empty message is not sent. |
| Kick from Server | Removes the client from the server straight away, with the reason Kicked by admin. The client can reconnect at once. |
| Ban (1 hour) | Bans the client for one hour, with the reason Banned by admin. |
Both the kick and the ban act immediately and do not ask for confirmation. For another duration or reason, use the bulk actions below, or the Bans page.
Admins get a checkbox in front of every row. Tick some and a bar appears above the list with the number selected and four actions; Clear drops the selection.
| Action | What you set |
|---|---|
| Move | The target channel, picked from the server's channels. All selected clients are moved there. |
| Kick | An optional reason, which the kicked clients are shown. |
| Ban | The duration in seconds (0 is permanent — the default is 3600, one hour) and an optional reason. |
| Describe | A description of up to 200 characters, written to the description field of every selected client. The button stays disabled while the text is empty. |
A message at the end says how many clients were affected, or why it failed.
A ban made here is TeamSpeak's own ban of a connected client: you choose the duration and the reason, but not which rules it creates. If you want to choose whether the ban covers the unique ID, the nickname or the last IP address, ban from the Client Database instead, which offers that choice.
