Chemical Drawers

Requires Mekanism 10.7 or later. Without Mekanism these drawers do not exist, and nothing else in the mod changes.

A Chemical Drawer holds Mekanism chemicals — gases, infuse types, pigments and slurries — the way a Functional Storage fluid drawer holds fluids. It comes in the same three layouts, each with a framed version:

Each tank holds one chemical. A 2x2 drawer can hold hydrogen, oxygen, a slurry and a pigment side by side.

Crafting

The same shapes as Functional Storage's fluid drawers, with a Basic Pressurized Tube where they have a bucket.

The framed versions use iron nuggets instead of planks. See Framed Drawers.

Filling and emptying

• Pressurized tubes connect from any side. A tube set to pull empties the drawer; a tube carrying chemicals fills it.
• By hand: right-click a tank with a Mekanism chemical tank to pour it in; left-click with one to fill it back.
• Storage Controller: a tube on the controller reaches every chemical tank on its network. See Storage Controller.

A drawer fills the tank that already holds that chemical first, then an empty one — the same order as a fluid drawer.

Upgrades

Chemical drawers use Functional Storage's fluid upgrade curve, so they grow exactly like the fluid drawer next to them: four Netherite upgrades take a 1x1 tank to 2,097,152,000 mB. See Upgrades.

• Locking remembers which chemical each tank holds, even when it is emptied.
• Void keeps accepting a chemical when full, and discards what does not fit.
• Creative makes every filled tank endless.
• The Redstone Upgrade and a comparator read how full the drawer is.

What you see

Each tank shows its chemical at its level, in the chemical's own colour. Gases glow and their surface slowly rises and falls; slurries, pigments and infuse types sit still like a liquid. The amount is written on the front, in the same units as a fluid drawer (32 B is 32,000 mB).
