Tracking Achievements

Tracking Achievements

Meta Hunter lets you open achievements directly in Blizzard's Achievement UI and add or remove them from World of Warcraft's objective tracker.

Opening an Achievement

Left-click an achievement row to open that achievement in Blizzard's Achievement UI.

This is useful when you want to see Blizzard's full achievement description, criteria, rewards, or other details.

If the Achievement UI cannot be opened at that moment, Meta Hunter will display a message in chat.

Tracking an Achievement

Right-click an achievement row to toggle objective tracking.

When an achievement is tracked, it appears in World of Warcraft's normal objective tracker.

Right-click the same achievement again to remove it from tracking.

Meta Hunter also confirms tracking changes in chat.

Completed and Incomplete Achievements

Meta Hunter uses World of Warcraft's achievement data to determine completion.

You may see:

  • Green check — completed
  • Empty checkbox — incomplete
  • No status icon — achievement information could not currently be resolved

Some parent achievements also show progress based on the achievements beneath them.

For example:

3 / 7

Parent and Child Achievements

Some achievements contain additional achievements beneath them.

Use the + button to expand a parent achievement and view its child achievements.

Use the - button to collapse it again.

The progress shown on a parent row reflects the achievements directly beneath that row.

The larger expansion progress summary may include additional levels of the achievement tree, so the two totals will not always represent exactly the same set of achievements.

Alternative Requirements

Some achievement requirements can be satisfied in more than one way.

Where Meta Hunter knows that several achievements can fulfil the same requirement, it can present them as a single requirement in the achievement tree.

Completing a valid alternative allows that requirement to count as complete.

Left-clicking the row will open an appropriate related achievement in Blizzard's Achievement UI.

Guide Information

Some achievement rows include additional guidance from Meta Hunter.

Hover over these rows to display the guide information in a tooltip.

This can be used to explain useful information such as special requirements, achievement order, or other details that are not immediately obvious from the achievement name alone.

Current Limitations

Meta Hunter does not currently enforce achievement prerequisites.

If one achievement must be completed before another becomes available, Meta Hunter may explain this in its guide information, but the later achievement will not be locked or hidden in the interface.

Some Blizzard achievements also use checklist-style criteria rather than separate child achievements. In these cases, Meta Hunter may show the parent achievement without displaying every individual checklist item underneath it.

If an achievement cannot be added to objective tracking, Meta Hunter may be unable to track that particular achievement through World of Warcraft at that moment.
