csps elphel cat_v0.4
The csps-elphel-cat software is mainly used to dump, in text format, the summarised content of Elphel camera logs-files. The information are dump by lines with distinction between events based on their type.
The csps-elphel-cat software is also used, through switch specification, to dump specific information about camera logs-files such as initial detected camera trigger timestamp.
The csps-elphel-cat software expects the following switches, arguments and parameters. Starting with the execution switches :
--marker -m
If this argument is detected in the arguments list, the software
dumps only the first detected camera trigger unix timestamp. For
this execution mode, the flag argument is ignored.
The expected stream arguments and parameters are :
--logs -l
Elphel camera logs-file to consider.
The display arguments and parameters are :
--flag -f
The flag parameter is a string composed with the i, m, g, o and
b letters.
If letter i appears in the string, the IMU events are displayed.
The same occurs for master and GPS events with letters m and g,
respectively. If b letter is given, the logs-file records are
entirely dumped in ASCII hexadecimal format. Otherwise, the
software displays human readable information about events.
If letter o is provided, the software display also unexpeted
events that can occurs when hardware is subject to temporary
failure.
Considering a logs-file coming from an eyesis4pi camera device, the results of the csps-elphel-cat software using m as flag parameter is given by :
...
MAS 1400683822.023634 1400683822.023612
MAS 1400683822.523634 1400683822.523612
MAS 1400683823.023634 1400683823.023612
MAS 1400683823.523634 1400683823.523612
...
where the two timestamps are the event-logger timestamps and the master timestamps (camera trigger), respectively. If the software is called using img as flag parameter, the result is :
...
IMU 1400684086.023077
GPS 1400684085.980853 GPRMC,134119.000,A,4611.2121,N,00607.6603 ...

IMU 1400684086.024296
...
where the GPS events are displayed with event-logger timestamps and NMEA sentence when IMU events are dumped with event-logger timestamps only.
The software binary can be build using its specific makefile by simply typing in its base directory :
$ make clean && make build [OPENMP=false]
The binary is placed in the local bin directory and is not copied in the main bin directory. To generate the documentation, use the command :
$ make clean-documentation && make documentation
To install or uninstall the binaries on the local computer, use the commands :
# make install
# make uninstall
