Overview

The csps-elphel-validate software is used to validate logs-files coming from Elphel camera devices. Each event record is validated individually by checking if it has been filled with random data. The event record validation is based on a probabilist check that is safe but not fullproof : the probability for an invalid event record to pass through the validation is near 6e-08.

Usage

The csps-elphel-audit software expects the following arguments and parameters :

--source -s

Directory that contains the logs-files to validate.

--destination -d

Directory that recieves the validated logs-files.

Demonstration

The following terminal output of the software is obtained considering logs-files coming from an eyesis4pi camera device :

...
Validating : log-container.log-00003
    Exported in log-container.log-00010
    3 event(s) discared
Validating : log-container.log-00008
    Exported in log-container.log-00011
    0 event(s) discared
Validating : log-container.log-00015
    Exported in log-container.log-00012
    0 event(s) discared
...

The first logs-file pass the validation process losing three of its events records when the two others logs-files pass the validation without any modification.

Compilation

The software binary can be build using its specific makefile by simply typing in its base directory :

$ make clean && make build [OPENMP=false]

The binary is placed in the local bin directory and is not copied in the csps-suite main bin directory. To generate the documentation, use the command :

$ make clean-documentation && make documentation

To install or uninstall the binaries on the local computer, use the commands :

# make install
# make uninstall
