Overview

The csps-elphel-sort software is used to sort event records of logs-files coming from Elphel camera devices according to their timestamp, in growing order. Event records are considered only through their timestamp without distinguishing their type. A sequential implementation of merge-sort is used to sort events records efficiently.

Usage

The csps-elphel-sort software expects the following arguments and parameters :

--source -s

Directory that contains the logs-files to sort.

--destination -d

Directory that recieves the sorted logs-files.

Demonstration

The following terminal output of the software is obtained considering logs-files coming from an eyesis4pi camera device :

...
Sorting : log-container.log-00001
    Exported in log-container.log-00001
Sorting : log-container.log-00012
    Exported in log-container.log-00002
Sorting : log-container.log-00002
    Exported in log-container.log-00003
...

The exported logs-files contain the exact same event records as their corresponding source logs-file but sorted in growing order according to their timestamp.

Compilation

The software binary can be build using its specific makefile by simply typing in its base directory :

$ make clean && make build [OPENMP=false]

The binary is placed in the local bin directory and is not copied in the csps-suite main bin directory. To generate the documentation, use the command :

$ make clean-documentation && make documentation

To install or uninstall the binaries on the local computer, use the commands :

# make install
# make uninstall
