Minutes

1. Fill out the community survey.
   1. Really, go fill it out. It'll determine what should we do next. Feel free to do multiple entries per organization.
2. Final Islandora Online - Institutional Repo's - next Tuesday!
   1. Still lots of spots! Bring your friends.
   2. The time's easier than last week, if last week was too early for you.
3. Issue Roundup
   1. 1572 - use case of compound objects, with a slider to go between different PDF viewers (not a multipage, from different 'child' objects). Using this allows for a nicer UI experience. instead of different-sized openseadragon's you just get one size. S. Shaw demo'ed a view including pictures and pdf's about neon signs, from dams.library.unlv.edu. (used a cool custom flexslider that showed openseadragon or pdfjs, depending on the child's type!)
   2. 1571 - PDFs aren't working, in ISLE or otherwise. Might be related to cross-origin things being detected??
   3. 1570 - gif's get turned into jpg service files, and we lose out on the gif fun. Most modern web animations aren't gifs anymore, so we should consider alternate types as a service file. It looks like MP4 might be the best, while WebP isn't supported in Safari yet https://www.macrumors.com/2020/06/22/webp-safari-14/
   4. 1565 - how to loslessly do MODS migration. Ugh. Part of it is 'done' in the 7x migration defaults, part of it is a huge scoping project.

   2. Much discussion ensued! Including renaming the 'file' column in the CSV, adding migrations of 'collections', and bringing in 'subjects' (since migrating subjects with terms and URI's isn't intuitive, and would be a more advanced migration...)
