   • releasing islandora focuses on the islandora module itself (slicing a version)
   • we'll also have to release supporting stuff to go with it, such as ISLE
   • each github repo will go through some small release process (if its determined to be necessary, were the changes significant enough to be alpha? or is it pinned down enough to be an rc? or is small enough to just be a patch release?)
3. metadata sprint march 8-19th - goal is to audit what we have in islandora defaults vs what the MIG has suggested we do (gap analysis). then we'll need to do the work to bring everything into alignment after that. does not include migrate 7x stuff, that'll have to come afterwards.
   • some discussion around migrate 7x module vs islandora workbench as methods for migrating from 7x. there is no real official supported way.
   • a special sandbox will be spun up for this sprint so getting a local environment will not be a requirement to participate in the sprint.
4. The ongoing saga of removing Gemini
   • realized that the removal of gemini broke recast.
   • tests need to be updated for recast.
   • PR for playbook is incoming
   • already significant buy-in on the ISLE-side
   • we're almost there
   • after this, danny is interested in looking at the triplestore indexer - making a fedora indexer as part of the UI. definitely interest in keeping the back-end alpaca style indexer option though. there are concerns about scaling.

   • https://github.com/Islandora/documentation/pull/1769 - needs review, seth is going to look at it. some question around the ISLE build kit versus what islandora defaults give you. so these diverge in that ISLE build kit gives you more on top of islandora defaults.
