Notes

• Islandora Online sign up now! Free registration, and donate a little if you like.

• Tombstone module - Built on account of FSU's LDbase project, need tombstone for data that has a DOI pointing to it. A little extra effort went into development to do it the "drupal way."

  • Features:
    • Tombstone creation can be paused
    • Can be assigned by content type
    • Fields: citation, links (unlimited), path, reason

  • https://github.com/Islandora/islandora/pull/780 - Melissa started testing and wandered off. She will finish testing. No one on the call sees any issue with the change itself.
  • https://github.com/Islandora/islandora/pull/777 - Approved on call last week, Melissa has tested, needs committer to merge
  • https://github.com/Islandora/islandora/pull/756 - big change, Danny has been trying to test but got caught on computer issues. Instead of multiple media, multiple fields on a single media. Opens up Oral Histories support and leads into some positive changes to our overall model that will make it easier to support what the MIG has been developing. Working examples in UPEI's RDM Playbook. Not backwards breaking! But, if this turns out to be a really superior way to do things, we will work out migration tools to get folks who are already established in the "old way". This approach is closer to the Drupal way, too.

Principle: Do things as drupal-y as possible, as long as it meets our use case.

May change the relationship between node and media, so that it points the other way. Will not change how collections work, because that would break Fedora.

This should go into the next release.
