3. Is anyone going to separate the microservices out to more than one box? ie. Image derivatives over here, audio/video derivatives over there, OCR/HOCR waaaaay over there. (jared)

Minutes

1. • UPEI has done some work on OCR and FITS support already. 🎉
     • They need some renaming and coding standards work to get them into core.
     • Using the hypercube service
     • Also using FITS service
   • So some of the things on the Wishlist have already been completed.
   • These survey results will be used to guide future sprints.
   • Access restrictions and embargos are pretty well handled by Drupal currently.
     • Some documentation would help this a little bit.
     • May need some programming to add scholar style embargo lifting.
   • Seths testing of https://www.drupal.org/project/rest_oai_pmh has gone well.
     • Has been testing with Dublin core
     • Going to look into twig templates next
     • In I7 we define sets as collections we could possible create a view for this
     • Perhaps we can bring this into the playbook as well.
   • What do we mean by auditing?
     • For fixity auditing Mark J has Riprap.
     • For creation / deletion auditing there are a couple methods.
       • There is the Drupal event logging module.
       • There is also auditing in Fedora.
     • We should track some of this in the audit metaissue

        • Would like to develop the process around this.
        • That way we can get more people contributing Drupal configuration.
        • We need to make sure now that we are at 1.0 we are making upgrade hooks, since the YAML is only read on existing sites.

      • This is meant to allow a site builder to create a site using namespaces similar to how they were done in 7.x sites when they are migrating.

       • Mark J has been working on porting things to python, which can be used alongside the Electron.
       • There is a plugin for Electron that is specifically for communicating between JS -> Python.
       • This all packages up very nicely.
       • Mark J and Seth are going to continue to work on this.
3. • Jared is working with symphony to try to upgrade the microservices.
   • Wondering if anyone wants to break the micro services out to multiple servers.
   • There is more to symphony applications, so there is lots of complexity there.
   • Would be nice if we are able to keep them on separate servers.
