  1. Short-term contract, CLAW deliverables
  2. Better replication techniques for Fedora / Drupal synchronization

Minutes

  • Sprint Planning
    • Services API
      • Not much discussion
    • Logistics: When / how to do sprint kickoff and standups. Voice calls? IRC check ins?
      • Andrew: Lessons learned from first sprint?
      • Danny: More focus, smaller more detailed tickets.
  • Circle back to Services API
    • Danny discussed design, abstracting away Fedora response, and usage with dependency injection
    • Diego and Nigel agreed that there wasn't much need to abstract away Fedora response since Guzzle does a great job of that anyway. General consensus is to keep Chullo as thin as possible. If people need more detailed information from the Fedora response, they can manually hit the API using Guzzle. Chullo really is just a collection of convienence functions and we should keep it that way.
    • Diego suggested versioning the API, which Danny agreed with. There were discussions around best practice for this (version number in urls, in the response headers, etc...). Andrew Woods mentioned that Fedora has a URL that provides this information, which the client can consume/interpret as needed.
  • Circle back to Sprint Planning
    • Sprint startup meeting will be at 11:30 EST on Monday morning
    • Daily checkins will be done in IRC, with voice calls scheduled if there's still ambiguity with the tickets.
    • Existing Chullo PRs need to be merged by Danny
    • Services API discussion will be taken asynchronously, and over the weekend Github issues will be made that are as granular as possible.
    • Nick Ruest will be the point of contact for sprint participants.
  • Nigel's contract work
    • We're waiting for the end of this sprint to see how much got finished, and that will dictate what Nigel will be allocated to do
  • Improving sync
    • Huge task that requires lots of homework. We'll schedule talks about it once interested parties have done due diligence.
  • Drupal 8
    • D8 has been approved at both the board and roadmap levels, but a prospectus will be required to present to roadmap.
