StremioK plays the films and episodes on a Jellyfin (10.9 or newer), Emby (4.7 or newer) or Plex server.
Settings › Content › Media servers:
-
Add a Jellyfin or Emby server: its address, like
http://192.168.0.50:8096. Jellyfin: sign in with Quick Connect (the TV shows a code; enter it in Jellyfin on your phone or computer, your profile › Quick Connect), or User name and password. Emby: your user name and password. The password isn't kept, only the sign-in the server gives back. - Add a Plex server: the TV shows a code; enter it at plex.tv/link on your phone or computer (the QR code opens it). Then pick the server, if your account has several. Its address on your network is used when it answers there, else its internet one (never Plex's slow relay).
- Home rows: each Movies and Shows library, the newest first, and the server's Continue watching and Next up (a show opens at that episode). Also in Discover and Search; Home feeds orders or hides them.
- Its copy as a source: first on the title page (On your Jellyfin server, On your Emby server, On your Plex server), found by its IMDb or TMDB id. ▶ Play best picks it.
- Its cards: one with an IMDb id opens the usual title page, with your addons' sources too; any other, the server's own details.
- Played as it is (not converted), so it must be a format the TV plays; with its subtitle files, its named chapters (as YouTube's) and, where the server made them (Jellyfin's trickplay, Emby's and Plex's preview thumbnails), pictures above the marker as ◀ ▶ move it.
- In step: where you stopped and what you finished go back to the server (not during private viewing), and a film or episode starts where you last stopped in any of its apps. Its intro and credits markers bring Skip Intro and Skip Credits.
- Its watched marks: what the server has played is ticked here too (a show once all of it is), read at launch and every 30 minutes. A mark made here since wins.
OK on a server in Settings › Content › Media servers: Turn off (its rows, sources and marks set aside, still signed in; Turn on brings them back), Reload (its libraries read again) or Sign out and remove (for Plex, also remove StremioK from plex.tv's Authorized devices).
