Their API: Jellyfin 10.9 or newer, Emby 4.7 or newer (
/System/Info/Publicsays which). Requests carry StremioK'sMediaBrowser …line (its sign-in, a device id of its own) asAuthorization(Jellyfin) orX-Emby-Authorization(Emby, under/emby, its paths per user); a link the player opens carries the sign-in asApiKeyorapi_key. Quick Connect asks every 3 seconds, for 10 minutes. - Which titles it has: read when a title page first needs it (films and series, their ids), again after 30 minutes or a Reload.
-
Rows: each Movies or Shows library (
CollectionType), by when it was added, 100 at a time; Continue watching (films) and Next up (a show's card, opening at that episode). A title with an IMDb id is a card with it (tt…); any otherjfm.<server>.<item>orjfs.<server>.<series>. -
Sources: each version of the file (
MediaSources), from/Videos/<item>/stream.<container>?static=true(the file untouched); quality from the video's size; subtitle files next to it (IsExternal) as SRT; chapters when one is named. -
Seek pictures: Jellyfin's
Trickplayset nearest 320 wide. -
Where it starts: the server's place (
UserData) when newer than StremioK's. -
Skip times: Jellyfin's media segments (
/MediaSegments, 10.10 and later, from a plugin such as Intro Skipper), Emby's intro and credits markers, else chapters named so (Recap, End Credits…); the usual services fill the rest. -
Reporting:
/Sessions/Playing, then…/Progressevery 60 seconds and on pausing,…/Stoppedon leaving; watched at the credits, marked played. -
Plex sign-in: a code from
clients.plex.tv/api/v2/pins, asked after every 3 seconds for 10 minutes; then the account's servers (/api/v2/resources). Each server's connections are tried (/identity), local ones first, relays never; the first that answers is kept, with that server's own token. Requests carryX-Plex-Tokenand a device id of StremioK's own, asking for JSON; links carryX-Plex-Token. -
Plex rows and ids:
/library/sections(movie and show libraries), newest first;/library/onDecksplit into films (Continue watching) and episodes (Next up). Ids fromincludeGuids(imdb://,tmdb://); any other titlepxm.<server>.<item>orpxs.<server>.<show>. -
Plex sources: each
Mediaversion'sPartfrom itskey(the file untouched); SRT and VTT subtitle files (/library/streams/<id>);includeMarkers(intro, credits) andincludeChapters; seek pictures from a part withindexes="sd"(/library/parts/<id>/indexes/sd/<ms>, one every 5 seconds); its place fromviewOffsetandlastViewedAt. Reported with/:/timeline(playing, paused, stopped), watched with/:/scrobble.
