Digital programs

MSHV, WSJT-X, and JTDX can use the same TCI port as this page. The remote password does not gate them. Those programs never ask to start a voice session, so they are not asked for the phrase.

On the Lyra computer

  1. Settings → Network: TCI server running on, port 40001.
  2. Set Bind address to 0.0.0.0 when the digital program is on another computer. Leave it at 127.0.0.1 when the program is on the Lyra computer.
  3. Leave Emulate ExpertSDR3 / SunSDR2 PRO ticked. WSJT-X and JTDX expect that pair, and they expect start before ready. MSHV accepts Lyra's own names.
  4. Do not forward port 40001 to the internet.

If Accept only these has any entry, the other computer's address has to be in that list. The computer running Lyra is always allowed. See Security.

On the other computer

Point the digital program at the Lyra computer's house-network address and port 40001. Use DIGU for FT8.

Sharing the microphone

An open Start voice session owns transmit audio. A digital program is refused transmit audio until that session ends. End the voice session before an FT8 transmit.

Listening and tuning from the page and the digital program at the same time is fine. The password required to listen, when ticked, is saved and does not drop a digital connection.
