RTTY and CW

Built-in RTTY and CW, with no extra programs or virtual audio cables.

RTTY

Open Modes > RTTY in the menu bar (RTTY on its own in the Classic layout). The terminal opens under the panadapter (the panadapter makes room), or in its own window with Pop out.

  • Received text, type-ahead sending, a tuning indicator and macros you can edit.
  • 45.45 baud, 170 Hz shift and others.
  • Mark and space markers on the panadapter, with auto tune.
  • Use DIGL or LSB.

CW

Open Modes > CW in the menu bar (CW on its own in the Classic layout). The terminal is laid out like RTTY's.

  • Decodes the receiver at your CW pitch and follows the sender's speed.
  • What you type or send from the macros goes out through Thetis's CWX keyer at your chosen speed.
  • Use CWL or CWU, and zero-beat the signal.
