Getting Started
G M G G = Glass
G S G M = Otherplanks Slab (occultism:otherplanks_slab)
G G G S = Spirit Attuned Gem (occultism:spirit_attuned_gem)
Yields one empty Crusher Jar. Full grid on Recipes.
Do the normal Occultism route:
- Craft the Ritual Dagger and the pentacle for "Summon Foliot Crusher" (or the Djinni / Afrit / Marid version for a higher tier).
- Perform the ritual. A Foliot spirit appears with the Crusher job assigned — it starts picking up nearby items and crushing them.
The jar only catches a spirit that currently has the Crusher job. See Catching a Crusher for the exact rule and which species maps to which tier.
Hold the empty Crusher Jar and right-click the spirit. It vanishes with a bottle-fill sound and the jar in your hand now reads "Contains: Foliot" (or whichever spirit).
- One spirit per jar. A filled jar can't catch another.
- If the spirit was mid-crush on an item, that item goes into the jar with it and comes back on release.
Put the jar down. It's a 10×10 column, full height, and makes glass sounds.
- Input is the top. A hopper pointing down into the jar, or any item pipe (Pipez, etc.) inserting into it, drops ore into the input slot.
- Output is pulled from any other side/bottom. A hopper under the jar, or a pipe extracting from it, takes only the finished crushed result — never the un-crushed input.
The input slot rejects anything that doesn't have an occultism:crushing recipe
for that jar's tier, so you can't clog it with the wrong item.
Sneak + right-click the jar (empty-handed) to open its screen: input slot, two output slots, a portrait of the trapped spirit, and a progress bar.
Crushing speed and yield are exactly a floor crusher of the same tier. A Foliot jar is slow; a Marid jar is fast and multiplies output. To change that, see Speed and Output.
Craft a Demon Extractor Blade and right-click the jar with it. The Crusher pops back out as a live entity, holding whatever it was crushing, and carries on.
Breaking the jar also works — it drops as an item with the spirit still inside. Place it back down and nothing is lost.
