Tell us who you are :)
Barney Dellar
You can find me online at Mastodon and LinkedIn.
- Coding, coaching, mentoring and leading teams for 30 years
- Big fan of XP (TDD, pairing/ensembling, continuous refactoring)
- My third SoCraTesUk conference
- Will probably be around playing guitar in the evening :)
Chris Jenkins (I try to avoid social media these days but can still occasionally be found on 🦣 @cdpjenkins@mastodon.cloud)
- Backend Kotlin developer working at Masabi.
- Way back in the distant past, I was an embedded developer and I still secretly miss that world.
- I've been coming to SoCraTes UK since 2017. It remains my favourite UK conference.
- I'm interested in promoting, strengthening and sustaining good values, principles and practices within development organisations. This turns out to be harder than it sounds.
Ashleigh Carr - I'm not really active on social media, but your best chance of finding me is probably on Bluesky
- Senior Software Engineer at The Guardian, working mostly on reader identity management.
- Think I'm a Scala developer, but I seem to end up doing DevOps wherever I go.
- Love tooling and infrastructure, tell me about about your jumbled 20 step CI/CD workflows and monolithic internal tooling.
- Avid fan of board games, I'll probably bring some up with me if I have the space. Engine builders are my favourite, Fluxx anybody?
- First SoCraTes! Woop woop!
- Tech person living in Scotland 🏴
- Going round the various crafters unconfs (regular at SocratesUK and CodeFreeze, and making my way around the others - next on my list: still Crete 🤞🏻)
- Currently working adjacent to tech (in a care home)
- Mostly interested in backend/integration (especially how things fail). Ops!
- Keen to find those incremental steps to improve all the things all the time (code, test approaches, deployment, processes, collaboration, ...)
- Based in Cambridge
- Working for Bosch on self-driving / ADAS
- Mostly Python + Typescript/React
- Interested in how to help people learn to craft good software
- Socrates has been a highlight of my year since it began :)
Lev Konstantinovskiy

- ...which makes me what people are now calling "AuDHD"
- I was once briefly a high school maths teacher, but I didn't last long
- I've had millions (approx) of different jobs, but software engineering has cropped up more frequently than anything else
- I'm a frequent international conference speaker / workshop facilitator
- I'm a word geek
