- A jailbroken PS5 that can load ELF payloads. CheatSpecter does not jailbreak a console and has no part in that process. If you can already load payloads such as etaHEN, you have what is needed.
-
ps5debug-NG running on the console. This is the debugger that does the actual reading and writing of game memory; CheatSpecter is the friendly front end for it. etaHEN can start it from its toolbox. It shows a "loaded" notification when ready.
- CheatSpecter has been used with ps5debug-NG 1.3.2 on firmware 13.60. Other combinations that ps5debug-NG supports should work but have not been tried.
- With the original ps5debug (not NG), switching community cheats on and off works; the tools for making cheats need NG.
- A way to send an ELF to the console, for example a payload manager such as ps5-payload-manager, or any ELF loader listening on port 9021.
- Any phone, tablet or computer with a current browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
- On the same network as the PS5.
- Internet access on that device if you want community cheat tables and the lessons; they are downloaded by the browser, not by the console.
Nothing is installed on this device.
- Games installed on the console.
- PS5 titles are the tested case. PS4 titles running on the PS5 are recognized, but have only been tested against the simulated console.
