Partner Emotes
Some emotes need two people, like the hug, the high fives or the fusion dance. And when you see someone dancing, you can join them in step.
Both of these need the mod on the server. If you want to make your own partner emotes, see Making Partner Emotes.
- Stand in front of your friend, at most 2 blocks away, and look at each other.
- Play a partner emote. You start the first half of it and wait there.
- Your friend gets a request in chat. They click [Accept], use
/emoteaccept, press the Accept Partner Emote key or the button under the wheel. - You both play your part, lined up properly.
Just wait there. Anyone can walk up, face you and accept.
When a few players are waiting, the nearest one in front of you is the one you join.
The request waits 60 seconds by default, servers can change that.
Moving, attacking, getting hurt, dying or leaving ends it for both of you.
Turn off Partner Emote Requests in the Settings. Nobody can ask you then, but you can still walk up to someone waiting and join them yourself.
See someone dancing? Type:
/emotesync <player name>
You join them in step with them, not from the start. They have to be near you (in your render distance).
Works with any emote, not only dances. You can't sync with a partner emote though, those are for only two.
