Getting Started
Get up and running with GoodByeDPI GUI in under two minutes.
| Requirement | |
|---|---|
| 🪟 | Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) |
| 🔑 | Administrator privileges — required to modify network packets |
| 🌐 | No VPN active — they can conflict with each other |
⚠️ Windows 7 / 8 are not supported.
Grab the latest GoodByeDPI.GUI.exe from the
Releases page.
The file is a single portable EXE — no installer, no dependencies.
Right-click the EXE → Run as administrator.
Windows will show a UAC prompt — click Yes. This is required because GoodbyeDPI needs low-level access to network packets.
💡 Tip: If UAC is disabled on your system, the app will refuse to run with a clear error message.
On first launch, you'll see three cards:
| Card | Best For |
|---|---|
| ⚡ Fast (Recommended) | Most ISPs — good default choice |
| 🛡 Compatible | When Fast mode causes issues |
| 🔧 Custom | Power users who know GoodbyeDPI flags |
Just click a card to select it. The border turns blue to show it's active.
📖 Want to know more? See Modes Explained.
Press the big green ▶ Start button.
You'll see:
- The status pill turn from red ● Stopped to green ● Running
- The uptime chip appear and start ticking
- A separator line
