Restarting the ART tracking system

If when you click the ART icon (ART logo) it reports "unsuccessful" when attempting to connect and doesn’t give you the "Connect" button, then most likely the ART tracking system needs to be restarted. To do this follow these steps:

  1. Open the compute closet (to the right of the Viz Wall - if it's locked as Charlie Hull or Paul Collison for the key).
  2. Open the front panel of the server rack.
  3. One of the boxes in the rack is labelled "ART" and has the red triangle symbol.
  4. That box has an on/off toggle switch. Switch it off, wait a few seconds, switch it back on.
  5. The tracking system will reboot - usually takes around 30 seconds.
  6. Exit the ART software on the control computer, and restart it, it should connect now.
