Running getReal3D for Unity

Starting getReal3D

You'll first need to start the tracking engine(s), and then launch getReal3D. Follow these steps:

  • Click the ART icon - this is the red triangle (ART logo) on the left panel of the left screen
    • Click “Connect” (if the "Connect" button doesn't appear follow the restart instructions)
      • A window should open
    • From the “DTrack3” menu, select “Start”
      • Tracking information should appear in the window.
  • Click the trackd icon - this is the hand (ART logo) on the left panel of the left screen
    • A window should open - the demon will connect and start writing logging data
  • Click the Unity “getReal3D" icon - this is (ART logo) on the left panel of the left screen
    • Select a model to show and click “Launch”

ISS Multiview

This is an interactive "game" on the International Space Station. When it starts you're in "1 user" mode in which your task to to replace a component. Use the game controller to pick up the power tool (move your hand to the power tool - it will highlight green - click the blue "X" button to pick it up). You'll then need to unbolt the existing module, move it, replace it with a new module and bolt that new one in.

You can also switch to "Free Navigation" mode. Click the green "A" button to bring up the menu (look above your head - it's at the top of the screen). Use the left arrow controller to highlight "Free Navigation" and click the blue "X" button to select it. You can then navigate around the ISS using the left arrow controller and the right joystick. Use the same menu to go back to "1 user" mode.
