Farmer Guide

Register your stall

Join GleanGrid → Farmer and provide the stall/business name, contact person, phone, e-mail and address. Verify your e-mail with the six-digit code. Your stall is then pending until an administrator approves it (usually within a day) — you'll get an e-mail when it's live.

While pending you can already complete your Stall profile.

Stall profile (/farmer/stall-profile)

  • Logo, cover, tagline and story.
  • Markets you sell at, with your stall number at each.
  • Operating days.
  • Location: address plus a map pin (drag it) — latitude and longitude are stored for directions.

The dashboard shows a setup checklist (profile, markets, pickup windows, products) until everything is done.

Products (/farmer/products)

  • Add, edit, view and delete products with name, category, price, unit, quantity available, description and image (photos are compressed to WebP in your browser before upload).
  • Weekly stock template: set each product's usual weekly quantity, then press Apply weekly template at the start of the week to reset all stock in one go.
  • Status per product: available, sold out, or temporarily unavailable. Customers who favourited an item are alerted automatically when it comes back.

Pickup windows & cut-off (/farmer/pickup-windows)

  • Add a window per market day with start/end time and capacity (maximum orders). Capacity is enforced atomically — a full window disappears from checkout.
  • Set one order cut-off (1–168 hours before a window). Customers can change or cancel until then; after it, orders lock so you can pick and pack.

Orders (/farmer/orders)

  1. New pre-orders arrive as placed (you get an e-mail + in-app alert).
  2. Accept or Decline (with an optional note). Declining releases stock and any coupon.
  3. On market day mark Ready — the customer is notified.
  4. When they collect and pay, mark Completed.

Each order shows a packing list, customer name and phone, pickup window and market.

Insights (dashboard)

Total, pending, to-prepare and ready orders; lifetime and this-week revenue; open pipeline value; an 8-week revenue chart; best-selling products; upcoming pickups; low-stock warnings.

Reviews & coupons

  • Reviews: read what customers say and post a public reply.
  • Coupons: create percentage or fixed codes for your stall with dates, minimum basket, maximum discount and usage limits.

Tips

  • Keep stock honest — overselling is impossible, but underselling leaves money at home.
  • Mark items sold out instead of declining orders.
  • Reply to reviews; it builds trust with new customers.
