Adding packs
Four ways, all ending in the same place.
Drop a zip, a folder, or a handful of files onto the window. A zip is one pack; a folder is one pack; loose files are gathered into one pack named after their folder.
Top left. Choose files, a folder as one pack, or a folder of many packs (a downloads folder where each subfolder is a pack of its own).
Downloads takes links, one or a list. Tessera knows the asset pages of Kenney, Poly Haven, ambientCG, OpenGameArt, GitHub releases, Google Drive and Dropbox, and finds the file behind the page. Pause, carry on, retry; a few at a time.
What happens when a download finishes is up to you (Settings, Downloads): wait in Downloads with an Add button, go to Review whatever its licence says, or go straight into the library when the licence is clear.
If you have one connected it can add packs too, with the same rules. See AI agents.
Whatever way a pack arrives, the same page opens, with everything Tessera could work out already filled in:
- Name, tidied from the file name
-
Licence, read from a
LICENSEfile, a readme, or the site's own page - Where it came from, the site and the page
- Creator, where the pack says
- Kind, style and tags, guessed from what is inside
Change what is wrong and add it. Adding several at once? Fill a field in once and apply it to all of them.
A download that was missing a piece, or something you made that belongs with it:
- Open the pack and press Add files, or
- drag the files onto the pack's page.
An add page opens: choose where inside the pack they go (the top, a folder it already has, or a new one), and say if they came under different terms from the rest of the pack. They are copied in as they are, and the pack is read again.
