Effective Date: 2025-02-21
Welcome to SSH Port Forwarder. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data the app uses and where it stays.
- No data leaves your Mac without your action. The app does not send your account information, passwords, private keys, or any configuration data to our servers or any third party. We do not collect, store on our side, or leak your credentials or traffic.
- Saving is under your control. Configuration (e.g. server host, port, username) is only saved locally when you choose to save. Passwords are stored only in the system Keychain on your Mac, not in plain text files. Private keys are read from paths you choose; we do not copy or upload them.
- All data stays on your device. Forwarding configurations, passwords (in Keychain), and key file access are kept only on your Mac. The app does not require an internet connection for core functionality beyond the SSH connections you configure.
- Configuration: Forward rules (names, hosts, ports, usernames, auth type, timeouts, etc.) are stored in a file on your Mac, used only by the app.
- Passwords: If you use password authentication, the password is stored in the macOS Keychain, protected by the system. It is not written to disk in plain text.
- Private keys: The app accesses key files only via paths you select (with system security-scoped bookmarks under App Sandbox). Key contents are never sent off your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how the app handles your data, please contact us at: aidoge.ys@gmail.com.
Disclaimer: This policy describes our practices for SSH Port Forwarder. You may need to adapt it for your specific distribution or legal requirements. Consider consulting legal counsel when publishing a privacy policy for your application.
