A glider ride is the fastest way to understand why people devote decades to soaring. You launch behind a towplane, release at the selected altitude, and glide over the Genesee Valley with an experienced club pilot.
| Experience | Release altitude | Published price* | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | 2,000 ft | $110 | A first taste of soaring |
| Explorer | 3,000 ft | $145 | More time and a wider view |
| Mile High | 5,280 ft | $200 | The signature full experience |
*Prices and availability can change. Confirm when scheduling.
- Flights depend on weather, aircraft serviceability, tow capability, pilot availability, and field conditions.
- Tell the club about mobility, fit, comfort, or health considerations before arrival.
- Passenger limitations depend on aircraft, balance, and current club policy; confirm rather than assuming.
- A requested date is not confirmed until a club representative responds.
Closed-toe shoes, sunglasses, sun protection, water, flexible layers, and a little schedule flexibility. Loose objects must be secured; ask before bringing cameras or mounting anything in the cockpit.
- Check in with the field team.
- Complete required paperwork and receive a passenger briefing.
- Review how to enter, sit in, and exit the cockpit.
- Listen for launch, tow, release, and landing cues.
- Fly, smile, and debrief.
